Build Custom Charts on Your Dashboard
The dashboard's Charts tab is a self-serve report builder — pick a form, pick what to chart, pick how to chart it, and Orbiform saves it for the whole team to see.
1. Creating a chart
Open Charts from the dashboard nav and click New chart. Give it a title, pick a form, pick what to chart, and pick a chart type — the type options update based on what you're charting (a line/area/bar for something that changes over time, a bar/pie for a breakdown).
2. What you can chart
- Responses over time — how many people started this form, per day.
- Answer distribution — how answers to one dropdown, single-choice, multiple-choice, or rating question break down. Pick which question when you set this up.
- Completion status — completed vs. partial (abandoned) responses.
4. Editing and removing a chart
Open the ⋯ menu on any chart card to edit its settings or remove it. Removing a chart doesn't touch the form's responses — it only deletes the saved chart configuration.
5. Custom charts vs. a form's Analytics tab
A single form's Analytics tab gives you a fixed, built-in dashboard for that one form (see Responses, Filtering, and Analytics). The dashboard-wide Charts tab is for building your own view — mixing whichever forms and questions matter to you, in one place.
