Conversational Forms
Every Orbiform form can be published as a conversational layout — one question per screen, a progress bar, and Enter to advance. It's the same interaction model popularized by Typeform, and it's a toggle away from your existing questions, not a separate form to rebuild.
Classic and conversational aren't separate form types — every form can switch between a single scrollable page and a one-question-at-a-time flow from Editor → Design → Layout, any time.
Each screen feels quick and low-effort, which tends to produce higher completion rates than a long scrollable page — especially for surveys, feedback, and onboarding flows.
Conversational is the natural fit for conditional logic: a question with a false condition is automatically skipped as the respondent advances, and the progress bar accounts for the skip.
Respondents press Enter to move to the next question — no scrolling, no hunting for a Next button, and no way to see the whole form length upfront to feel discouraged by.
Add questions the same way you would for any form — manually or with the AI Builder.
Open Editor → Design → Layout and choose Conversational. No questions need to be rebuilt or re-entered.
Conditional show/skip rules apply automatically — irrelevant questions are skipped as the respondent moves through, not just hidden on a page.
Publish and check the Analytics tab's per-question response rate to see where, if anywhere, respondents are dropping off.
Customer feedback and NPS surveys, where finishing the survey matters more than reviewing earlier answers
Onboarding flows and quizzes that benefit from a focused, one-thing-at-a-time feel
Any form using conditional logic, since skipped conversational questions simply never appear
Lead-gen forms where a lower-friction feel measurably reduces abandonment
No. Layout is a setting on your existing form (Editor → Design → Layout) — the same questions render either as a single scrollable page or one-at-a-time.
It behaves more naturally, not differently in kind. In classic layout, a question with a false condition is hidden on the page. In conversational layout, it's automatically skipped as the respondent advances, and the progress bar accounts for the skip.
Choose classic for longer application-style forms, or whenever respondents expect to scroll back and review or edit earlier answers before submitting. Choose conversational by default for surveys, feedback, and onboarding.
Yes, respondents can navigate back through previously answered questions before submitting.
