Classic vs. Conversational Layout
Every Orbiform form can be published in one of two layouts — the same questions, two different experiences. Switch between them anytime from Editor → Design → Layout.
1. Classic layout
Every question appears on a single scrollable page, familiar to anyone who's filled out a Google Form. This works best for longer forms respondents want to scan and fill in any order, and for forms respondents may fill out on a shared or public computer where scrolling back is expected.
2. Conversational layout
One question is shown at a time with a progress bar, and respondents press Enter to advance — the same interaction model popularized by Typeform. This layout tends to produce higher completion rates because each screen feels quick and low-effort, and it's the natural fit when you're using conditional logic to skip irrelevant questions, since skipped questions simply never appear.
3. Which one should you use?
Choose conversational by default for surveys, feedback, and onboarding flows where completion rate matters most. Choose classic for longer application-style forms, or when respondents expect to review and edit earlier answers before submitting.
